Have finally gotten round to reading this book and oh my goodness
Reading about women only two years older than me dying in childbirth 3,500 years ago is heart wrenching

oh boy this is going to be a depressing read

underestimated how miserable and depressing this book was going to get

Harry’s views on marriage are so refreshing compared to other male writers of his time, observes the restrictiveness of marriage, and the way it somewhat strips away female autonomy.
