This is a Delph classic that I'm reading on my kindle. So far an excellent read.

My assessment of this now that I have nearly finished reading it is:-

If you're looking for something to read on your sun lounger, read it but
if you're looking for something new in the genre, don't.
It's long and daunting and grips and carries you, surprisingly well but it does not amaze you and you might be disappointed.
I've enjoyed the journey; just wish I could feel that it was worthwhile.

Excellent read so far. All the key characters are assembling for the finale. Comparable to a Victorian double-decker in scope but infinitely easier to read.

I don't know where Stephen King is going with this but I'm enjoying the journey so far.
