Been Plugging away.

Reading it through a second time

Rarely read Fiction, but here I go.

So far, I love this book.

Already know I am going to love this book.

Not going to finish this book, it reads more like an Encyclopedia. Good reference book.

And each is a prisoner until, at last, he earns the right to tear these bars from their moldering sockets, and pass, illuminated and inspired into the darkness, which becomes lighted by that presence"

Not a quick read if you want to get anything of value from it.

A much slower read than anticipated. To really absorb this book I have been reading it very slowly.

Having a hard time staying motivated reading this one. Interesting but a little overly fantastical.

My hope is that this book will only help me memorize more random facts.

I needed some lighter reading.

I am struggling with this book because it has created an internal dilemma for me. Half of the ideas I accept because I want to believe them, the other half I accept because they are sound arguments. It doesn't feel entirely honest but somethings you just accept because you want it to make sense.

I refuse to give up on this book. I will get through it (eventually).

so far this book seems to be more like a brief introduction to the history of American Mysticism rather than a definitive one.

So far I'm loving it.
