Not that I need one, but in my defense I did have brain damage when I read the first time and it’s almost all new to me ¯\_(ツ)_/ mostly serious, the finer detail is 100% fresh.

Since it’s been quite a while since I’ve read something literary I don’t have much to say besides that I was surprised to see it was written in 2002, then I was immediately not actually surprised.

The type of book where later in life I’m going to go, “what was that weird book where this crazy thing happened”. Delightfully strange.

Finished! Started 2024 with Way of Kings and ending with Oathbringer 🥞 need to re-read the last chapter because I listened on audiobook and don’t remember a thing besides Lopen being Lopen.

The amount of new names and places with no context is getting old.

Someone in a video said, “what’s accidental cannibalism” and I went straight to Libby. I’m still listening to the audiobook because of the mmc’s voice (my goodness).

As far as I’m concerned, the plot is wrapped up. Not sure why there’s another hour of content. Spiciest book I’ve ever read.

2024: DNFs over 20% finished = 7(?)
In addition, 50% finished = 5
Which is exactly 2606 pages (data nerd!) equivalent to: 6 or 7 fantasy novels averaging around 400 pages or 3 or 4 epic fantasy novels, averaging about 700 pages.

I failed my reading challenge by 14 but I read a lot of AMAZING fanfiction and I’m savoring Oathbringer (63% in) as well as The Once and Future King.

Now we’re cookin’ with stormlight! 100 pages in one day because it’s very good again. 🗡️🪨🔥

Why is every character in this book a prurient lampshade. So much is about whether or not Clarice is being sexually harassed. Then she has a pick-me line about glitter nail polish on a murder victim, maybe I’m being naive.
