LOVED the plot twist with Hester!! I also ship her and Devan BIG TIME! Hopefully they work out.
Devan’s backstory has been so intriguing! Although I’m hoping the rhythm between the stories in the past and present gets more balanced as the book continues; because the present plot feels slower in its development right now. ALSO, surprisingly I’m liking the character development of Kai as the story goes on!

Devan was a huge rule breaker as a child…I definitely feel like the people who are born as “dragons” are made if a book eater eats a certain book or conceive with a “dragon”. Also the fact that their bloodline is from Romania definitely gives Dracula vibes with the book eater family bloodline!

Not bad. I like the spooky thriller vibes it’s giving. I also like that the author doesn’t make it too complicated to understand the world of “book eaters” as well. The love that Devan has for her son really shows that she would go to any lengths for him. I’m curious to how people like him are made though? Does it have something to do with his mother’s past actions?
