My tiny little heart was not prepared for this book! Chapter after chapter my heart breaks, contracts, swells, EH!!! I'm going to need a mental vacation.

At first, I failed to connect with Ariadne because she was the complete opposite of most characters I read about and completely opposite to my personality. She is wild, but broken too. Everyone is growing up but growing apart. I can't wait for when God steps into the scene😆

Started slow, but now I'm hooked. At first the introduction was giving circumlocution😂

The amount of drama that has taken place in two years!😭
I have enjoyed, however, connecting (in a way) to the first century Christians who when reading about then in Scripture they felt far off, unrelatable even. But this book has changed that😌

Page after page I find myself talking in love with the character of Joseph. He sought God's heart above all else even when it cost him BIG TIME😔 and managing an unequally yoked marriage with a young (sometimes annoying) wife is proving to be a challenge of its own😭 but I'm really loving these perspectives that aren't in Scripture or even history about the adjustment it must have been for Joseph.

The amount of gaslighting and manipulation before even reaching chapter 6😭

Wow. WOW! Talk about a twist did not see THAT coming 😳 😶
