well the prose is ass but what did i expect from a book all about ass. badum-tschhh. anyway i never read stuff like this so this is so funny to me. ommgg i hate this guy so much but i wanna fuck him soooo bad. get over urself bro

‘i wished they were all dead and i was walking on their bodies’
i love it.

working my way through this one short story a day. too many short stories a day can’t be good for digestion.
just read ‘the father’ … ooo. spooky sort of. what does it all mean. daddy doesn’t look like anybody…

really captured me at the beginning, the psychological female sexuality element reminding me of Hangsaman (my favourite book i've read recently.) but the whole orphan plot that it launches into is really tiring to me. will probably struggle through the rest, which is a shame.

not really taking in any of this at all- i can't say i don't like it but the prose is so dense. my professor says its like wading through treacle and i agree. can't deny how deliciously scandalous the plot is though

absolutely insufferable

oh god. have a feeling this is going to be a slog

really enjoying this so far !! perfect autumn read

oh god i have to read all of paradise lost in a few weeks help
