The first two stories!!! Ahhh!!

The title story had me alll in my feels. So beautiful! And story two??? Um, I need a novel and a television series based on that novel, thank you very much.

I finished Accomplice to the Villain recently… It became very spicy. Part of me was scared it was building up to that with the tension in first 2 books, but I also held out hope it would be closed door. It is not :(

Comfort reread started over the weekend. This book launched my love of the fantasy genre back in middle school. I adore it so much! 🥰

I have so many current reads but my library had this today so obviously I had to grab it immediately—so excited for this book!!

The Lightkeeper hits differently from my first read of this collection as I grieve the loss of my own father…such a beautiful story. 😭💕

I don’t do a lot of updates before finishing but… “egad,” an adult man shedding tears over someone he just met telling him he will wrinkle one day?? The obsession Henry has with pursuing pleasure and desires, that morality and wrongdoing is simply “made up”? I guess kudos to Wilde for writing in a way that I dislike all the characters from the start (that they’re believable enough to be disliked)?

Guess who couldn’t wait for TWELVE WEEKS to get the library copy so she went and bought it?? 😂

I was loving all of this but then a funny misunderstanding morphed into a huge, cowardly lie by one party…I hope the lie isn’t the core of rest of the book….

The story “Hanna’s Birthday” has wrecked me and I don’t know when or if I’ll stop sobbing. Absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful.

Wish there was a DNF option here on GR where it didn’t count towards the yearly challenge total but also didn’t delete all of your activity associated with the book…

Just had my 3rd DNF of the year.

Can’t believe I’m half way done with this beautiful devotional! I’m a couple days behind because of illness and life but each verse, lesson, and journal prompt has done my heart good 💕

I got this book after seeing an ad on social media. I was under the impression this was Christian poetry with clear religious themes, but it isn’t. It is good free verse poetry but I’m just not excited by it…mainly because it wasn’t what I thought I was getting. May come back to it later when I’m in a mood for general poetry.

A character driven novel with a unique magic system and important themes dealing with being the voice for those who have been silenced by the system. Looking forward to the end and book 2!

Listening to the audiobook. Great world building with an interesting premise of magic associated with primary colors!

I didn’t realize this was the end of a trilogy BUT it’s written in a way that I can follow with the current story all the same. Great political intrigue and royal struggle with a large war between good and evil—fans of Gillian Brontë will enjoy this, I feel!

I started this January 1, not knowing I would start the new year with a PA flare or with new symptoms of an additional condition. Each day’s lesson and scripture has been balm for my heart. Praise God for the beautiful messages in this book 🙏🏼❤️
