The histories lecture has some compelling points but I think it’s premature to abandon separating ‘bad language’, ‘writing in and outside the margins’ and ‘average writing’ as a reaction to misogyny in literature. The benefit of creating ‘confusion’ is low. This applies to the debate abt the quality of Romantasy & also excludes thinking abt proliferation of colonial hegemony in women’s fiction.
