I like how magic is associated with home. Dany bringing a new dawn age where magic brings you home if you are wise enough to accept and wield it for the truth. Sansa doesn’t understand yet and perhaps never will. She’ll die otherwise relying on chivalry to preserve her.

I really like Davos and Melisandre’s argument over fire, light and darkness and the origin of shadows. And the difference between the flames and Jojen’s green dreams.

Catelyn’s chapter at Storm’s End is so good. She never prayed to the Stranger for anything because why would you pray to the face of death. And all her prayers for wisdom won’t mean a damn thing. Too many ppl she depended on don’t have any and don’t want it.

Incest btw Asha and Theon representing death, cannibalism and usurpation. Similar to the Targaryens.

Dany’s chapters are absolutely brilliant. Mirri Maz Duur gave Dany a new life-away from her rapist she was taught to honor as her husband-although she just a child doesn’t see it that way. In place of a son you were forced to want, take a dragon instead like you dreamed about before you were sold off.

I like how Bill noticing how women keep secrets leads him to uncovering his wife’s attitude towards troubled women. He knows the strength of men keep women afraid but what do women do to each other that’s cruel? He hadn’t thought they could be cause he grew up different.
