Firstly, to pick one example that can be disproven by science as a representative for all religious belief is ridiculous. Secondly, I claim ignorance about what any religion other than Christianity believes about the creation timeline, but Catholics (representing half of the world's Christians) are taught in the Catechism that faith and science are not contradictory and don't hold to YE.

Bothered by the statement that "religions endure for millennia despite mountains of evidence contradicting their belief" as if all the beliefs of all the world's religions can be distilled into scientific fact or fiction. This is followed up by an example of an exceptionally bright student who despite her genius was willing to accept young earth creationism on faith despite the scientific evidence to the contrary.

Loving this book but I wish so much that Larson had included photographs!!!
