Angie is starting Shocking Secrets of American History: 115 Surprising and Amusing Tales
I kept thinking I would read a story here and there and get this finished but I can’t. The stories aren’t shocking or amusing. They are barely interesting and then I found out that the story he wrote about how “Taps” was written was a myth, so I am throwing the towel.

I have to track progress to keep me encouraged. So far this is pretentious and annoying.

I give up. It is too esoteric. I told my self read one “sermon” a day (I didn’t) because no matter what Nietzsche’s belief is about religion, these feel like sermons. I notated some beautiful sentences, but I don’t want to read so many pages for so little reward. I get it, he doesn’t believe in religions or morality and he drives this home in a very biblical way. This is - finally - a DNF for me.

Angie is starting Beating About the Bush (Agatha Raisin, #30)
I know, just yesterday I said I would not read the next book, #30, yet here I am. I had already checked it out from my local library so I thought I would read the first few pages just to see how it would be. Well, it was immediately obvious that Ms. Beaton had help on this one - most likely from the author she bestowed right to regarding continuing the series. Much improved so far. Further review to come.
