I know I am very much in the minority when I say that I am finding some parts are a bore.
It's interesting (albeit familiar) commentary on class, but not the most riveting.

Don't come for me, I know this is a much beloved classic, but I'm just not connecting to it.
And tbh I don't expect I will love every classic I read.

Takezo's character development has been subtle, and brilliant.
Never did I expect this man to build a snowman.

I deliberately read this slow (one chapter a day), to long it out and stay with the story longer.
(And also because Rosmei takes ages between volumes, so who knows when I will see these guys again)

Sheng Lingyuan is up there as one of my fave danmei men.

Along with Yan Wushi, Bai Liu, Cui Buqu, Shen Qiao, Chu Wanning, Wei Wuxian, Hua Cheng (to name a few lol)
