One of my favorite part of the a-to-z project is picking up a series at a random point. In this case, book two.

I feel like I should have the kid that wanted to know more about pre-conquest latin america read these chapters.

Bronca’s chapters make me really nervy. Maybe THAT’s why I stopped before.

I feel like I stopped reading this because it was making me lust too hard after the adjacent possible where I moved to NYC. Seems fine now though.

What I find myself wondering is why this book is all about how white folks misinterpreted history by overlooking indigenous philosophers and thinkers during first contact, but the authors are only interpreting old-timey white sources. (Unless I missed something by reading the audiobook.)

Got to the point where I’m checking to see the authors’ race/tribal affiliation.

Rousseau got one thing right -- lack of pants IS a sign of superior society.

Got to the 3 story and returned to library, waiting for it to come around on the holds list again.
