this book changing between first and second point of views, depending on whose chapter it is, is lowkey pissing me off. i'm all for experimental prose but idk if this works. it's just taking me out of it.

very odd and very beautiful prose. I can feel the tolkien influence, as well. i didn't read the author bio in the book until I had started the book and found out the author is a host of a tolkien podcast that I was passingly familiar with. we love to see it.
