3.5 rounded up - Throne of the Fallen was one of my top romantasy reads of 2025. I had such high hopes for its sister sequel but it kind of fell flat. The plot felt really discombobulated and the dragons just didn’t really make sense to me for House Gluttony? I thought everything together well at the end, but it just didn’t live up to the first.

3.75/5 - I loved the end of this book but I feel like I’m missing the hype it has around it. The first half of the book was so slow and felt unnecessary for the plot and character development. It just felt like this book didn’t need to be nearly 500 pages and probably could have packed more of a punch had the first half been more concise.
