This is a much more intellectual read than the Frida McFadden I’ve been binging on. Lol. As a result its a much slower read. Between looking up various quotes and passages from other great literature sprinkled throughout and translating french conversational bits, to the very tiny print, each chapter of this 700+ page book is taking forever! Love the prose and the vivid descriptions of the Grecian Landscape.

Ugh… honestly? I’m loosing interest. Waaaaay too many characters, plot lines, time shifts, it’s starting to feel draining and boring and I’m just at the halfway point. I’d consider giving up now, but I’ve invested too much time at this point..slogging onward…. 😕
