Cannot put it down!

The betrayal blew me away. Regarding the troll and the cave, etc., I have to say that it seems mighty derivative. Even with the modern elements added, it still feels like Tolkien. That said, it certainly held my attention anyway.

Riveting. Graduated from the bathroom some time ago.

A fast read, and an entertaining one. Heavily tongue in cheek, and I can't get enough.

Unusual to see characters so well developed in a horror novel. One of his finest, at least so far.

Fast and funny. Saunders must have had a good time writing this one.

I just want to weep for Gwen. The plot point, when it first came up, seemed trite and I was grumpy, but now I am so attached to the characters that it doesn't count against him as much.

Nice to be reunited with some fun longrunning characters, but this thing wanders all over heck and gone. But I do love Wiggins, and though only briefly mentioned, Cyril the cat.

Disappointed in one major plot point, the thing that King Sorrow makes Gwen do with regard to Arthur. Trite--although in other scenarios I've seen it used, there was no dragon involved.

Oh, so creepy. A fine Halloween read, and I"m not even a fifth into it yet!

The last story is designated as a "bonus story." Does that mean it isn't one of the best, but sort of an honorable mention, perhaps to fill out the desired length?
