Ended up abandoning this book. It had a good amount of detail, but it way too much to care about. It was interesting to see the actual ways with which Youtube could exert power over the world -- i.e. changing the algorithm to promote watch time leading to more clickbaity content, which made multi channel networks lose a lot of business -- but overall it was kind of a dry read tbh.

It's getting kind of depressing and repetitive ("I entered this tournament and lost in the first round because I hate tennis and hate myself") but still overall a good autobiography

So well written -- it's crazy how good Agassi's memory is to remember all these minute details, feelings and little stories that end up making the story (i.e. his friend Perry's chipwich addiction, horror movies with Perry, potatoes with Philly, the stuffed bear story, etc). It is also insane how fast he rose through the ranks and the way he did it -- the first time he played on grass was at Wimbledon lol.

I feel like the story is going off the rails a bit. Now that the big twist of the book has been revealed, things are just over the top. The beginning part was a fun game of cat and mouse, but now I'm not really liking it as much as the plot is just bizarre. I hope the ending is better than the middle part.

getting to the point where its really really abstract but its still fun to learn regardless

a nice change of pace from cs classes, writing code and running it to see an immediate application vs just learning random stuff nobody will ever use lol

its cool to just go down random rabbit holes and see where you end up

This book is pretty good, but it can be a slog to get through. The author does a good job of inserting interesting and personal anecdotes of how government works, but there is just so much content to cover. Also, it can be preachy at times, as he uses the book to explain his agenda and decisions. It's also just tiring reading about the all the different problems in the world.
