The flashbacks are still somewhat of a bummer for me. Most of them do add to the story in terms of lore, but a lot of that could've been said through other means that don't take the flow out of the story. TBH I just want to get them over with, to get to the central plot again ASAP.

Lion in the Desert was a very weird chapter, but now we're back to flashback stories again right as the story starts to shift into gear, again. This irks me to no end.

I like all the tales about the knights, but tbh I'm wondering why those tales are relevant to the actual central story. Collum seems to be partly magical too, which os not unexpected.

Flying through this. Finished the first arc and I'm now a few chapters into the second. Seeds are being sown.

Interesting to see post-Arthur Arthurian stories. I'm intrigued as to where this goes

Just finished chapter 4 and welp. That's a twist I did not expect in an Arthurian novel.

The two brand new stories were great, despite one being non-canon. I really loved this what-if side of Sun Eater. When I finish Shadows Upon Time, I'll most likely read Murdered Sun as well. Good stuff. Royal Game was a great reread.

Still not what I was expecting after loving Anubis Gates. Not bad, but not a great read either

Started book 2, a bit jarring tbh, but l'm still interested.

Finally found the time to continue reading. Starting ch7 now and the seafaring parts are quite enjoyable. I do have to say I liked other novels by TP more than this one though. It feels a bit clunky sometimes.

The intrigues grow and grow. The direction is unsurprising, but the way to it has been very well executed so far.
