Having no wifi is great for my reading goals

Had to google a list of all the characters and things make more sense now.

Devastated to realize this is written in a style I HATE aka no paragraph breaks and no quotation marks around dialogue. I think the amount of difficulty this creates in focusing and understanding what is happening outweighs the author's attempt to create a certain mood.

A bit dramatic so far but it’s getting the point across. Shoutout to Justine for giving me this book!

I feel like the author has revealed too much of the mystery already. I feel no suspense.

I like the discussion of the dichotomy between different subcultures and how they best thought they could advance both women's and lesbians rights. The issue of conformity vs radical rejection of social norms is still not really decided on today.

Continuing to state what we all already know: all lesbians are either gym teachers or work for the military (my gay aunts included)

It being socially acceptable for women to explore intimate relationships with other women but it being completely taboo for women to actually form long-term committed relationships with each other?? Sounds familiar

I would joke that education turns women gay but the truth is that sometimes, only by completely untethering oneself from men and patriarchal obligations could women access higher education and well-respected jobs.

I cannot believe that Shane [redacted] because of a [redacted] scare and that they got [redacted] because of a CAMEO VIDEO?!?!

Shoutout to my college roommate for getting me this book for free! It pays to be friends with people in the publishing industry.

So far this is very informative, but I wish the author talked about the non-physical parts of dying as much as she talks about how no one talks about death. Be the change you want to see!
