Finished book #1 9/13/18: Death at the Fair. Fascinating description of the Chicago World's Fair, the plight of women in academia, and the tragedy of African-Americans in the Jim Crow era, late 1800s, in the South.

6/19/16: At Chapter 21, 35% done. Had to stop. Sort of interesting but I don't like any of the characters and it's very slow going.

Got a library book I plan to finish before I get back to this one.

don't think I'll finish this now. sometimes murder mysteries are a bit to murderous!
