I got this book from the library and someone who read this before me decided to dog ear like every 5th page. That deserves jail time

It was a strong effort on the spirit of good; but it was ineffectual. Destiny was too potent… 😶‍🌫️

Just read the first story and it wowed me and now I think I’ll probably just read it again

She’s talking really smart so I’m not catching everything. But I like it so far. Here’s a quote I liked: “I have long been interested in the Center's rhetoric, which has about it the kind of ectoplasmic generality that always makes me sense I am on the track of the real soufflé, the genuine American kitsch”
