I don't get why they're treating her so disrespectfully? They know she's a noble (daughter of a chieftain) yet speak to her like she's lesser? Maybe it's because she's from the countryside? Also, I don't understand why she is so giddy about joining the guild? I thought she suspected them of being involved with her dad's death? Why is she being so dreamy eyed about it?

Yeah, the show definitely fixed the racist aspects of the book. It's wild how the book constantly brings up how segregated the town is and not do anything with it.

Okay the racism and homophobia in this book? Not a fan tbh.

I'm a little shocked at how well written it is? I think it's because I've been disappointed in a lot of 2000s paranormal romances so I was shocked to see how I'm vibing with it.
