Her ex is genuinely so insanely manipulative it's making me mad

I've been recovering from surgery ( first painless night. Yay.) and this is going so slow it's killing me. If I don't finish tomorrow I'm handing in my reader card 😭🤚

I have to catch the bus very early in the morning which is the only reason I'm pausing this but ugh soooo good. Will continue on my 5 hour ride

Horrible uni schedule, which doesn't allow me time but at least in the 100 pages I had time to read before class I got Rowan again 💞

I keep planning to take a small break and read something shorter, something contemporary to not burn out but this series is so good

Current throughts on Chaol are complicated.

I genuinely hate the way he talks to Celaena, however realistically I do like that he is tormented in terms of royalty (who CAN regulate the Fae afterall?), desperate to save his brother, and especially that he saved Fleetfoot.

Overall - I'm very annoyed at him but I don't hate him

Are we ever gonna acknowledge that they are speaking to each other through their minds ( knowing SJM yes we will)( it's just so funny they seem to be ignoring it, DENIAL IS A RIVER IN EGYPT!!)

So good but heavy. Taking a break for tonight to dream of the caretaking scene 💕

Am I missing something why do people complain about Manons chapters in this book? She's had like 2 boring ones and after that we have a bond so interesting her chapters rival those of Aelins to me.

I love all the chapters (Dorian's included) except Chaols which are just ok

This is the first time an FMC has shared her trauma with the mmc and the mmc has been like "okay welp I dgaf, womp womp" JDJDJDJSJSJS MY BABY WHY DID HE DO HER LIKE THAT THAT TO HER 😭

It's been a few insanely busy days, and yet this is so riveting I haven't lost interest at all despite reading slower
