. I'm already noticing unnecessary epithets to describe characters who have already been established. There was also an excruciatingly long council meeting scene that went into obscure detail about a kingdom that the plot isn't even going to focus on. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something off about The Narrative of the book. This might be a dnf for me, but I'm going to hope it gets better
