Could Nick be a descendent of Dr. Thomas Bartholomew? He did say that his whole family was comprised of surgeons.

I’m really having trouble with this one. There were some things I ignored in the first book because it was written 15 years ago. It’s like Mean Girls, it just didn’t age well. Unfortunately, this one is much worse. There’s a lot of awful gay man stereotyping and a LOT of “slut” shaming. There’s also use of the r slur, which is just really distasteful.

Is Bambi the rat??? Please, tell me she isn't. I'm just a little sus because she was talking to Elena about drawing up a will for the guy she's seeing and now all of a sudden, Marco is almost assassinated??? ughhhhh Plus, I really don't want Marco to turn out to be an abusive ass.

I pretty much have no choice but to read this book. 😂 According to many of my friends on Goodreads, this is a fantastic (and hilarious) little Christmas novella.

Rereading for the first time in years! I was so sad to hear of Anne Rice's passing, as her books were some of my favorite growing up. I hope she's finding the answers to all of her cosmic/afterlife questions.

There was either some sort of tracker in her food/champagne, or he planted a bug on her clothes. This seems more likely because she threw the clothes under her dresser, and now Chase will know that Cass is still alive.

This is officially my first ever audiobook! I started listening to it last night while painting and will probably continue to listen to audiobooks while painting. I've always preferred physical books because I read fast, but this isn't too bad when I put it on 1.7x speed.

Major spoiler for anyone who hasn't read this yet:

Will is soooooo sus. Mae's sister (Jaeyda???) had stopped going to the gym on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and now Tori said that Will has been working late on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I definitely think there was something going on with them.

I'm taking a break on this until after Thanksgiving.

Now I understand why everyone kept talking about "Chapter 55". Lol

It's good so far. I'm enjoying it, but it's not entirely as consuming as I thought it would be. It's on track to be a 3.5 or 4 out of 5 stars.

Alright, I'm taking the plunge. Everyone talks about this series so much that I decided to see what all the fuss is about.

I feel that Lucifer will end up being one of her mates.
