Woah. I suspected there was something off with Leo, it’s a masterful plot. One I am definitely jealous of lol wish I’d thought of it. I’m enjoying this, having trouble putting it down.

Loving it so far. I’ve been reading a lot of Agatha Christie recently and when I do take a break (When No One is Watching) & this novel I find myself really involved and forced to read on. I feel like these books are good at not giving readers a clear stopping point, after every chapter you’re kind left want to know what’s going on so you keep reading. I think it’s a good thing to note when I write my own.

Enjoying it still and drawing inspiration for Montgomery Breaux— the creole detective that solves crimes in inner city neighborhoods often overlooked by the law. Or maybe someone post slavery working on cases upheld by Jim Crow. Good creative juices flowing and an enjoyable read.

Looking good, ready to get into the next chapters. The beginning few chapters have been like an intro— don’t think it needed to take this long to get into the meat— but I’m continuing nonetheless.

Loving this so far. Realizing how much I dislike the writing for Hastings. This books starts with Dr. Sheppard and I enjoy his descriptions of people’s physical (something not necessarily lacking in the others but I def see an improvement here). Looking forward to seeing where “Porrot” fits in.

Good so far, I’m enjoying some of takes and even finding myself uncomfortable at times which to me, is a sign that I haven’t accepted a piece of reality. I think it’s important for me to stay dreamy, I never want to lose that but it’s not harmful to merge that dreaminess with reality and let them work together.

Good story so far. It makes me uncomfortable at some points but I think I just have an aversion to stories that depict injustice when I’m unsure of how it will unfold. Hinting to a romantic relationship between the main character and a white guy.. not my fav but not letting it deter me just yet. I am looking forward to more of the horror depiction, it’s being set up well so I’d like to see where it goes.

So far, so good. Hoping this isn’t an ending like the last book I think the whole lead up just for it to end up being exactly who everyone thought was okay for that story but I’m hopeful that she doesn’t do it with this one as well. Also, Poirot keeping all his discoveries a secret right up until the end is not my favorite. As the audience I think we could at least get sufficient clues to put together

Really enjoying this. Not a fan of Hastings’ character, he seems a little too confident in his mind and doubts Poirot in ways I find slightly disrespectful. Mary is super off & Hastings is too obsessed to see it. Dr. B has something to do with this which to me makes Mary a suspect as well due to the closeness of their “relationship.” Or maybe she could dislike him as she was weird when Hastings mentioned him.

So far, so good. I love detective novels, specifically Poirot so I’m enjoying myself. I watched Death on the Nile movie today and in the end it’s who you thought it was but the story takes a few turns that takes the suspicion away from them. I’m curious to see what turns this books takes. As of now I think the obvious culprit is the much younger husband who’s assumed to be engaging in an affair.
