I don’t really understand where this is going and I can’t really tell if I’m liking it or not. What a strange experience lol

I’m kind of tired of books being marketed to me as “groundbreaking” and “thought-provoking” etc. when it’s just an author writing about deviant sex or a toxic relationship to a various form of body image

This has been such a great representation of how even men who believe they’re doing things with the brightest of intentions will still prioritize power and control over empathy

This would be 100000% better if this was all in Idris’ pov - literally the only interesting character

It’s been fun reading this after watching the movie and the show to see where some of the references are appearing and in what ways

Hello all! I’m back after an almost full year of not picking up a single book for recreational “fun” reading. I’m not exactly sure what happened. People love to say that life tends to get busy, stressful, tiring, messy, etc and I never fully understood it until now. I lost my heart for books and I’m hoping to find my way back to that space I loved once and what feels like so long ago, wish me luck

I’d like some answers to questions now. It’s going on too long without any resolutions. The characters aren’t that likable.

The main character isn't very strong willed and it's bothering me so much. I know that's kinda the point of the novel, but yikes. I want to pull my hair out. She has no personal opinion on anything.
