Ada Bhansali is starting Savitri: A Legend and a Symbol
I am in utter amazement that this was under my nose my whole life and I dint find it. It is so deep that it shakes you. No wonder the Sri in Aurobindo. This is going to take me a while - maybe months. And years to actually get.

Ada Bhansali is starting The Mahabharata: A Modern Rendering, Vol 1
Nothing short of brilliant. It’s taken me a long time to get through the first volume , still a hundred pages to go. So exciting and yet so deep - unlike any of the epics I’ve read in the many mythologies of the world and beyond . And Krishna ❤️ What a character and what a soul. No wonder this text is linked to spirituality - and the Geeta parv yet to come in volume 2

Ada Bhansali
Ada Bhansali is starting Character By Choice: Letters on Goodness, Courage, and Becoming Better on Purpose
Brilliant, tender, deep and extremely thought provoking , especially as a parent.

More thoughts to come as I read it, usually finish books in a day or so but I like going slow with this one, I think it’s one of those books that I need to absorb.

Ada Bhansali
Ada Bhansali is on page 155 of The Bhagavata Purana (Clothbound)
Very readable, despite the insane length. It’ll be on my reading shelf for ages. Also realised after 36 years the most mundane difference between the puranas (which is resolutely stayed away from) and the Gita. So much to read, it’s like holding a toothbrush to clean a T rex.

Very readable, but so long it’ll be on my current shelf for months. Mere names from childhood come to life- eg, Jarasandha, have forgotten what all that was!! also finally understood the most simple differences between the Gita and the Puranas. Silly girl me. After the Devi Purana it doesn’t excite at this stage as that did but definitely read worthy.

Ada Bhansali is starting Tomb of Sand
I admit I picked this up because of theBooker. Shy away from anything heavy in the present state of my mind. The writing is fantastic and the sentences are poetry. More later.
