When we abstract an image through cartooning we are not eliminating details but we are focusing in on specific details

Symbols are types of icons that represent concepts, ideas and philosophies.

Full page compositions like those in ancient scrolls are not readily used in modern day comics. I wonder how I could use this in my comic/graphic novel.

Comic is an umbrella term which includes: genre, style, art style, writers, trends, themes, subject matter. Comic itself is not a genre.
