i genuinely need to start reading summaries of books before i read them—if i had a nickel for every time i stumbled into reading an allegory for how bad colonialism is i’d have two nickels which isn’t super odd but it’s weird it’s happened twice in the last year

holy crap so much of this book is left and i feel like i’ve gone to war, died, and been reborn again
