i’m hopeful for this book based on the cast so far

lowkey this book is a mess and not written super well and i don’t find any of the characters really likable either but ill finish it… and read the next one probably (because i own a hard copy already)

i feel like the plot is not developing at all. 1/4 of the way through the book and we know almost nothing, have gathered a basically useless cast of characters who just sit around and hypothesize for too long on the motives of the alien, and somehow the wedding is still the highest priority in the book for a character that is not even attending the wedding. i just feel at this point something should be happening?

Arna only shrugged at this. “What need have I for magic when I can have the smell of trees after rainfall, the melody of water tumbling over moss and stone, the warmth of summer’s day, and the quickening chill of an autumn twilight upon my skin.”

no because the humor at the end of this book is so funny
