Halina Goldstein is on page 90 of 355 of A Writer's Diary
Took up reading after months and months... and find myself enjoying Woolf's narration and being amazed, once again, at how little we change across centuries. Our environments and circumstances completely transformed. Our personalities, desires, longings, aspirations stay pretty much the same...

I hesitate... I don't want this book to end! A rare experience, for me... And the book is all about ending, in a way, the eternal ending...

The Lightness Of Leaving book is not "just poetry," to me. It's a way of living. Which has now inspired (among other things) my latest article at the Soulivity Magazine, titled Embracing Radical Presence: Transforming Life's Disruptions Into Joy And Freedom

I just came across this immensely beautiful song, made in co-creation with the Los Cedros cloud forest in Ecuador:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH_ti...

And then this conversation about the co-creative process: https://emergencemagazine.org/convers...

It brings to mind The Overstory, my (so far) favorite Richard Powers book...
❓Can you recommend any other books with a similar theme?

Happy April Fool's Day!

I'm wondering if there are any books about the Fool as an archetypal way of living...
The only one that comes to mind right now is Quichotte by Salman Rushdie. Loved the book...

I'm working on the role/voice of the narrator in the novel I've been writing and rewriting for a long time. I'm trying to find my way of doing it, of course, and am also feeling inspired by books with unique (and very different) narrator voices, e.g. The Signature Of All Things, The City And Its Uncertain Walls and Intermezzo.

The Danish public media channel reported a little while ago that there's more people now reading fiction than in the last 30 years. And less interested in non-fiction. To me, at first, this is good news. Or perhaps it depends on what kind of fiction and non-fiction we read more/less of, and why...

Why is Sally Rooney's Intermezzo such a page turner? It's hypnotic somehow...

Halina Goldstein is starting Dream Yoga: Illuminating Your Life Through Lucid Dreaming and the Tibetan Yogas of Sleep
This is my 2nd read of the book, now with focus on practices entirely. I'm noticing how much more recognition there is since last time of the states the author describes. I don't experience more lucidity in my nighttime dream (yet?), but definitely in my daytime.

Why I have to live like a poet and the two questions that took me there. The two questions that a recent transition led me to. They might be helpful for you too, whether you are a writer or not

The other day a beautiful conversation unfolded between Eva Andrea, founder of Magical Writers, and me on How To Live Like A Poet. As I pondered my journey with poetry, I realized how much it has been related to self-love, to coming out of hiding and daring to express the poet in me (too). It took me a whole life to learn that. It doesn't have to take so long for you.

I came across this quote and it keeps drawing me in a way I cannot quite explain...

"Every peak is a crater. This is the law of volcanoes (...)
No height without depth, without a burning core"
~ Adrienne Rich

Does it speak to you? How?
😊💗

I'm excited about the groups that are here and looking forward to connect with fellow readers and writers, especially (but not exclusively) with interest in (non denominational) spirituality. Are there any (active) groups you'd recommend?
