Started the audiobook a few days ago and it’s off to an ELECTRIC start!

Not sure I’m loving where this is going

Starting this back up. I really enjoyed the first half however I read it right before moving about 5 months ago and for some reason never could find the time to come back to it.

“The Spirit” might be my favorite chapter of a book I have ever read. Seriously, this book is incredible!

This is so epic and I love it so much!

This feels like an Avatar and Studio Ghibli crossover and I’m loving it. The Avatar world is so vast and there’s so many stories to tell. I’m really enjoying this one so far, every character is so interesting. I’ve seen the show so I do know a bit about Kyoshi however I still can’t wait to see where it goes!

This was stunning.

For some reason this short story reminded me of “Annihilation” which I read last month and really did not like. Though the 2 aren’t really similar in any way, this felt like something the author of “Annihilation” was probably inspired by. However, this accomplished much more in 20 pages than “Annihilation” did in 200 (sorry for the unnecessary bashing hahaha)

Understand: 3/5

I respect the hell out of this short story. It was a really cool idea and I was interested in what happened, however by the end I had no idea what was going on, which without spoiling anything is kinda the point of it. The reader is not supposed to understand what “understand” means, which again is a cool concept but ultimately lost me.

I’m going to review each short story as I read it.

Tower of Babylon: 5/5

Wow, this story was fascinating. Each page uncovered a new meaning, yet I still don’t really understand what it all meant. I think this will take multiple readings to fully grasp, however I feel like I could talk about it for hours. I can’t wait to continue on with the rest of the short stories!

This book has been pretty entertaining thus far however it’s a bit of a mess. I’m enjoying it anyway!
