An eminently readable and modernized retelling of the Greek myths. Fry's writing style is perfect for this sort of thing.

The first time I read this, a few years ago, I really enjoyed it. But this second time around it left me unmoved. A not particularly interesting or well imagined techno magic novel.

The magic lore was unbelievable and followed almost no logic, the story ended in a strange and unrealistic fashion that honestly left many loose threads, and the romantic interests had zero chemistry.
