I swear I've read this before...

Taking a break for a bit - I really liked the other 2 books in this series (I accidentally read them out of order) but for some reason this one isn't doing it for me. 3 stars so far...

I've just finished reading another of Holly Black's books (The Darkest Side of the Forest) and recalled that I enjoyed this series. Apparently I last read it five years ago? Hoping it's as good as I remember.

*Trying* to read more tangible books. I burn through ebooks like they're going out of style, so I think by gong back to printed ones I'll not only rein in my out-of-control reading habits, but it'll also force me to go to bed at a decent hour. Wish me luck!

The pictures are freaky, but I guess that's the point. Not sure how I feel about the writing yet.

Rereading so that I can read "Guardian to the Crown" (which I just downloaded) without becoming too lost.

Decided to re-read this one, as it's been a few years and I recall really enjoying it. Finding that I've forgotten quite a bit of the details, but liking the narrator's voice so far.

I'm literally like five minutes in and I can already tell I'm not a fan. I've liked a few of the author's works before, even loved one of them, but this is shaping up to be a miss for me. Putting it on the backburner for now.

I'm having a hard time getting through this, which is weird because I usually love Penny Reid's novels (except the first Winston Brothers one... have yet to finish that, too). At this point, I just want to finish so I can move onto Dating-ish, because I have a feeling I'll enjoy that one more

I'm nearly half-way there and I'm having a wicked hard time finishing this book. It's well-written... almost too well-written. Beautiful prose, but I'm not connecting with any of the characters. Taking a break for now.
