Unfortunately this book makes me feel nothing but irritation… I couldn’t get into the romance and couldn’t connect with any of the characters… it didn’t make me feel anything (positive).
And I hate the conclusion. Not my cup of tea. But I’ll give it, that I was quiet shocked and surprised!

I kind of like nobody in this book… 🙄

Lucy Lennox books are still a hit/miss for me… unfortunately this one‘s a miss… lack of communication, strange hang-ups on a past „relationship“ and all these fire inspections were just strange. And don’t let me go on about aunt Tilly…

The magic (especially the house) and the world and Cornelius (the talking cat) is really amazing, but Voss is grating on my nerves… her selfpity and self-righteous is kind of annoying

Good basic idea, but somehow not well implemented. An insane amount of page-long internal monologue that often completely interrupted the rest of the action. And then “I love you” came out of nowhere. I didn't really get the feeling that the two MCs had really gotten to know each other or had done much together?! WTF
