Artemisa is 63% done with Every Boy's Got One (Boy, #3)
this time I don't really feel this book.
It reads like the previous books in the boy series. the characters all work for the same newspaper, but like in the second book the characters don't intersect.

Artemisa is starting Simply Dragons Anthology
I managed to read a couple more books in this collection, but I had to skip about half the forth book.
It just didn't clicked with me. I can't even pinpoint what I don't like about it

I like Brandon Sanderson's writing, and even if this first person narrator that he uses in the Alcatraz series is really annoying with all the cliff hangers and talk to the reader snickers, I still was baffled to get a lesson on how to start a series on book one.

I was hopping for a non SaDiablo family story. I guess I was kind of right its set with the descendants of the Grey Lady from the invisible ring. But first thing the hero decides to do? Ask Daemon SaDi for help. I hate my shelf because now I can't curl up in bed and just read it.

I'm not even starting this yet. I read a couple of pages and I had to go back to the last book and skim it a bit to get my bearings.

450 pages on the second book and still 300 something to go. I'm loving the story but I'm getting tired. It doesn't evolve as fast as I need it to.

About half way through this book. It took me a bit to get into this setting and I don't know if I'll manage to get to the end without reading the RPG books for background.

About 1/4 of the book and the guided tour of the park is just starting. And once again Crichton writes the best techno babble. He rides the edge of science and science fiction to the point where I'm tempted to go and check the papers he "quotes".

No page number on this book. I'm disappointed with the quotes. So far I saw an equation (I need to rewrite it with proper Math notation), a Hawking quote (I was waiting to see if they would get to him, but I was expecting a full book of quotes) and a Stanley Baldwin quote.

I'm almost over. I reached the last story in the book. And my fears have been confirmed. This book is a compilation of sad stories, themed around birthdays.

So far loving the art. It feels like a classic superhero comic, with a twist, it's black and white instead of the classic 4 basic color inking

One more short down. this one was about a guy who gets other guyhs for his wife's Bday. Is that really a thing? Is it just me that thinks it's kind of sad? I kind of get the invite other person, but not the "not going to the party"...

Artemisa is finished with Fables, Vol. 14: Witches
I like this story. it's a return to the main story line (even if it ends with a detour to Haven), to the fight against the new "adversary". it's also a nice political satire with all the power plays between the witches. also who thw hell is Ozma? note to self: go wikipedia...

one more short story. only to go now. this last one also has that weird aura of sadness about it. SPOILERS NOW. this story is a way a wife that offers a whoker to her husband as a B-day present. But all the self pitty made me keep thinking is she going to kill herself? Will she leave her husband. No. it has a kind of happy ending, is just the mood...

i'm having a bad feeling about this book. I like Alcatraz and his "voice" as the narrator, but this style of writing where the narrator talks to the reader and keeps interrupting the story drives me nuts. it's a literary trick and for me it gets olde realy fast.
