This comedy western is ok but it’s nothing compared to Sebastian’s Barry’s Days without end

Bit clunky so far. Author has kept in a lot of tangential detail and anecdotes on the period that don’t relate directly to his thesis. Main sticking points are how difficult this period is to even begin to interpret historically. When it’s not even agreed where The people behind the so called civilisational collapse came from - Sardinia, Sicily, Cyprus or Turkey ??- it points to a long, unconvincing ride.
