unless emma does something genuinely vile within the next 350 pages it’s looking like i’m going to be one of the only 5 people who like her character

genuinely very horrified by jackson's portrayal of unhappy marriage/familial relationships...she captures feelings of resentment and discomfort so accurately that it feels suffocating just to read

unfortunately kind of annoying so far

this is just reminding me of how much i hate audiobooks prob gonna have to put it on hold for another 10 weeks and hope i remember the plot by then bc it’s due soon

it’s about time for me to read something happy but there’s a very fine line between literature that would actually make me happy and literature that would irritate me because it’s sappy . and also literature that’s happy in a way that would make me sad
