I just finished The Fact of a Body: A Murder and a Memoir and gave it 3 stars. Cathartic writing by a woman who is trying to heal. Two stories that are me,dead into 1. Doesn’t always flow. Quite a bit of repetition. Would have benefitted from more editing.

Loved this.

This is slow going for me and I'm mostly skimming. It was recommended to me, but is not exactly my kind of book.

Have read 2 of Barrett's previous novels and found her writing to be exquisite. Hopeful for this one.

Good audio. Great narration. I prefer to think of it as fiction more than memoir.

I have read many disturbing books; I like disturbing. I have had to take a break from this as it is so difficult to stomach.
