Just started this. What a line:

Kishore's anecdotes and life story are extraordinarily quotable, albeit somewhat perplexing at times.

Another first-rate first-contact story, very different than Tchaikovsky's, almost unclassifiable in fact

I love the way Olsson writes -- she intertwines personal reminiscences and the life stories of both Weil siblings beautifully. Perhaps it helps that I relate personally to Olsson's story: she left math while I left physics, but for essentially the same reason.
