the vocabulary is so difficult even though it's not even in the older style of language some of the other books from that time are. it's soooooooooo sad how much our language has been watered down in conversation. ppl my age are seriously missing out on

rly surprised by the low-ish rating (for typical goodreads standards).

im beyond enamoured with this book. hanging on to every single word. it's one of those books where u should not skip the descriptions to get to the story because in many ways, the descriptions hold the plot.
