sometimes I pick up a novel at exactly the right time, and this is one of those times; it's Sally Rooney so of course I'm underlining, but I am losing track of the amount of times I've said "I need to show you this excerpt" and pulled out Intermezzo

so tender, in classic sally rooney fashion. i let out a little sigh with each chapter finished
