I've wanted to learn more about the Hanseatic League for years, and the book my attention when I was at my Mom's house, so I figured I would give it a shot.
Early thought is that this text is definitely a product of its time. It gladly commits most of the philosophical and historiographical shortcomings characteristic of the period of its writing (1920s). Still reading, still interested, bearing a grain of caution.
