As always EJD doesn't disappoint. Jordan explores some deep racial "truths": the way Black and White people have traditionally seen each other, and the way Black people view interracial dating. So far Jordan is a richer, better drawn character. Kimberly is simply a sketch right now, but I've just gotten into her chapters so there is the promise of more to come...

Cassidy's dislike of Trevor doesn't exactly "ring true" for me, though I myself personally do NOT like other people in my house so I know what that's like. She's made a connection with Trevor's shell-shocked daughter, which I think will be the ice breaker for this budding couple. On the other hand, Trevor seems smitten almost against his will...

I love EJD's style of writing, and the way each of the six major characters has a distinct voice. So much is going on, yet I am swept up in each and every story line
