I had read so many poor reviews of Mona’s Eyes, but I am thoroughly enjoying this book. It’s not a traditional novel, but rather a fascinating way of using the mysteries and stories behind famous works of art to open a young girl’s eyes to the world through her grandfather’s expertise.

This is a truly great story about the important HeLa cells that are still used and have been credited with all types of research, cures and understanding the many mysteries of science! Well-researched, well-written and FASCINATING!
