I love the fact that James deliberately antagonizes nosy Martha.

I thought this was suppose to be a book about Leah’s reunion with an old flame, not a medical journal on her father. It’s really beginning to ruin the story.

Really like what the author wrote as Janeway’s ruse to keep the diplomatic tour group off the bridge, a very Janeway tactic.

It’s neither seasonal nor Amish, but it’s going fairly well.

To deny the less fortunate or less industrious among us the pain that would teach them to apply themselves more diligently would dishonor the efforts of those who are willing to work.

We would do them a disservice by making their lives too comfortable. There is only one way for them to learn the error of their ways.

Doug’s romantic feelings are already coming forward in chapter 1 - too soon in the storyline, IMO.

So, who’s the vandal? Dan, the blowhard perfectionist? Quinn, the son not really interested in the family business?

It seems to me it has to be someone completely unexpected; either close family, or a real outsider. Quinn looks the part, which is why he almost seems disqualified. Dan makes a lot of noise, even to quitting the makeover which now HAS to be finished because Abby’s house doesn’t exist. Hmmm.

Anthony, Karly’s stepfather, has shown up - wish author hadn’t done that.

I’m surprised at how good the story is right from the beginning
