“Hansen’s history of this deadly trip might now best be read as a management case study in how not to put together a team. It’s also a cautionary tale of discovery, science, and culture clash, a foundational European misadventure in the Middle East” Matthew Wills

félek befejezni

tears for breakfast, lunch and dinner

i have to see the Katansui River Iron Bridge with my own eyes

az intrikák szorító szövődése életet és halált átölelő családi mátrixban.

im not convinced that im gonna finish this book with good feelings

“I sleep well, for eight hours each night, and every morning I feel confident in the decisions I made the night before. I go to work, complete all my tasks and have time to do the things that bring me happiness. I cook, I clean, and I enjoy taking the time to make my home comfortable. I have no regrets about the choices I’ve made, and I can remember everything perfectly including my dreams” Sounds like paradise

being in a room with these insane people would be hell. Órlaith: crazy and creepy, Kim: crazy, bitter and lying to herself, Curtis: should be in jail and far away from minors, Dani: gaslighted, monitored and exhausted, Mikayla: evil little creature with a lot of suppressed anger, Gwyneth: pathetic a two-faced scumy snake

trust no one. that 83 years old lady? she is plotting the apocalypse

*scratching my head* Well *looking around* at last he is dead.

“Cursed, cursed be the fiend that brought misery on his grey hairs, and doomed him to waste in wretchedness!” It is YOU Victor, Y-O-U, you caused that!!!

I am so tired of Victor’s incompetence and avoidance

i now hold a lifetime hate for Victor Frankenstein

the end of chapter thirteen OH MY FCKING GOD!!!

it’s almost over and i have a foreboding sense of dread 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

“A shaft of light had passed over me, illuminating my empty life with possibilities, I dared not question. But now, just as mysteriously, it had vanished. Only now did I understand what this meant.”
not much happens no big uh-huh moment, but a lot does if we see it as depiction of an ordinary life, small gestures half sentences motor the motions. falling in love with the somber real life written on paper.
