I cannot put this book down and yet I know it’s going to break my heart at some point

Is this as good as everyone said it is? Absolutely.

Once again I am now properly into this book and annoyed that I have to do other things besides read it.

Not gonna lie: I am absolutely LOVING this book so far.

Why didn’t I read this earlier?!?

I am so annoyed that I gave away BOTH of my physical copies of this because I hadn't read it and it's utterly amazing??!

How is the writing THIS BAD?!?

Really struggling to get through this book at the moment, partly due to lockdown killing my reading habits. Also I'm sorry but it is SO confusing reading a book about global warming which uses Fahrenheit as well as Celsius argh.

Once again I am wondering why I didn't read this earlier because it is INCREDIBLE

I'd forgotten how much I love Allie Brosh. Currently re-reading her depression stories and she's so heartbreakingly on point.

Oh goodness this book is gorgeous!

This is such a miserable read of a book and I just want it done now. Pullman’s glorious prose can’t hide the dire plot and contemporary fantasy world observations. Getting there...

Well this is exactly what I needed to kickstart my reading again!

It is taking a lot of self restraint not to curl up on the sofa and read until this book is finished. Definitely a favourite.

This is one of those books that I am having to *work* at; reading it in dribs and drabs over breakfast and work breaks isn't cutting it. Now that I'm in it, I can't put it down, but it's echoing Ferrante's 'My Brilliant Friend' a tiny tiny bit too much for me to really believe in its premise.

2/3 of the way through and I never want this to end.

I’m only halfway through this book but I never want it to end. It is one of the most gorgeous, evocative things I’ve ever read.

Sometimes you’ve got to go with your gut and pause the bigger read for a bit. This is my current distraction and I am literally devouring it. 💛
