The fire is burning SLOWLY! And I can sense Osric's existential crisis gradually becoming full blown. I detest slow burn, but because I trust Brigitte Knightley immensely, I will surrender and just buckle up for the ride of my life! I can sense a cliffhanger, however, but I'm okay with that. I love Brigitte's writing. Intelligent and witty.

I have been looking forward to reading this book since it was announced last year, and I am so thrilled. So far, it has not disappoint! It’s a book filled with humor. Aurienne reminds me of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. The only difference with Aurienne and Sheldon Cooper is she is attuned to other people’s feelings. Osric and Aurienne’s animosity towards each other is palpable.

Pansy is HILARIOUS! I love the Ginny-Hermione-Luna-Pansy friendship.

Ugh. Absolutely despised Tiberius McLaggen!!

I’m not quite sure how I feel about Ellie and Lawrence’s story.

I’m just skimming along straight to the dialogue. Not sure how I feel about this yet. I do love the plot. I think it has potential. Onward!

I’m not sure if I like this Rafe Bowman fellow. Even with his dazzling good looks and wealth, he shouldn’t have forced Hannah to kiss him on their FIRST meeting! I’m hoping he has some redeeming qualities.

The suspense is killing me! I was not expecting the plot twist from earlier.

I’m intrigue of this beau for Sophie Aunt Connie is referring to. There’s not much happening to the story though. To be honest, it put me to sleep. I’m struggling to finish.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I do like the mystery part of it.

I’m having a wee problem with how Nancy, Sloane’s nurse, does her job. This is of course from a nurse’s perspective.

Then he swallowed past that lie and heard himself say, “I love her more with every breath, truly madly deeply.” 😳😳😳

At this point, I’m not feeling any “love” vibes from Sean or Lexie. 😢 It’s all LUST!

I’m not sure if I should like Turner. At this moment, he has no redeeming quality. And it would be wise for Miranda to fall out of this unrequited love, and just go for Wilson.

I absolutely love Anthony and Kate's story! Katharine Sheffield is definitely a perfect match for Anthony. She's a strong character whose loyalty to her stepsister and stepmother is admirable and lauded. She dislikes small, empty pleasantries, she's intelligent, and has a sharp wit. Her beauty is nothing compared to Edwina who is sought after by gentlemen of the ton.
